Ziker is a free Islamic app, offered as a sadaqa (ongoing charity) to Allah. It is free forever, in shaa Allah.

The app works without having to create an account. All data, including prayer logs, tasbeeh counts, bookmarks, custom adhkar, app preferences, and settings, is stored locally on your device. Optional backups are user-controlled and do not go to our servers.

Location is used on-device to calculate prayer times, qibla direction, widgets, and prayer notifications. If you enable automatic location, Ziker may request precise location and background location so prayer times, notifications, and widgets stay accurate when you travel, including when the app is closed or not in use. Ziker does not send your exact latitude or longitude outside your device, and you can decline background location and update your location manually when needed.

Notifications are used for prayer reminders, widget refreshes, and optional content updates. On Android, Ziker may request exact alarm access only for user-enabled prayer reminders and adhan or voice alerts. If exact alarm access is denied, Android may schedule reminders inaccurately.

Ziker uses thirdparty services operated by Cloudflare and Google to help us understanding aggregate app usage, diagnosing crashes and stability issues, and optionally sending content update notifications. These services may process device information, app version, crash traces, installation identifiers, IP address, user agent, and event data according to their own terms and privacy practices. Ziker will not intentionally send precise location outside of your device.

If you choose Google Drive backup, Google processes the data required to authenticate and store your backup in your Drive. If you choose iCloud backup, Apple processes backup data through iCloud. Local backup and export files are created only when you use those features. App-managed backup files may include app settings, prayer logs, tasbeeh data, bookmarks, custom adhkar, and related app data, but they do not include exact latitude or longitude. Android system backup may restore non-sensitive worship database data, but it excludes precise location, connected account metadata, notification settings, and app settings stored in SharedPreferences.

If you send feedback through the public web app, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit so we can respond and improve Ziker. Feedback may be handled through a third party service if the feedback feature is enabled. We do not sell your personal data. We use collected data only to provide app features, operate backups or support that you request, maintain reliability, and improve the app.

You can control permissions in your device settings, delete local app data by removing the app or clearing app storage, and delete user-controlled backup files from Google Drive, iCloud, or your exported storage location.

This service is and will remain free. May Allah accept it from us and from you.
